Frequently asked questions

What do I wear to my session?

As long as you are comfortable and can move freely, you can wear what you like! If you have exercise based goals, wear clothes and footwear that you usually exercise in so we can get you moving!

Do you have street parking?

Yes - however it is only one hour parking so for an initial consult or an hour consult, we recommend parking around the back in the Coles carpark on Francis Street where there is unlimited parking

Do you accept private health and medicare payments?

YES! Bring your private health care card and we will swipe it through so you only pay the gap.

 Can I bring my children?

YES! We are more than happy for your children to join you in your session. Feel free to bring a pram into the session if you like, otherwise we can supply play mats and bouncers.

Do I need a referral from my GP or OBGYN?

No, no referral required!

Yes- we have a hicaps machine in the clinic so if you bring your private healthcare card we will swipe it though so you only pay the gap.

How much will my health fund cover?

It will depend on your level of cover- if you have your health fund’s app it should be on there, otherwise you can call them and quote code 500 (if initial consult) or 505 (if follow consult) and they can tell you how much they will cover

Do you accept Medicare Plan?

This requires a specific form from GP- called enhanced primary care form (EPC) or team care plan. This is for clients with a chronic health condition (6 months or longer and who see multiple specialists). This gives 5 sessions with a $58 rebate from Medicare (often doctors will say it gives a free Physio session but this is incorrect).

How much is a consult? (accurate as of April 2024)

Initial consult- $175 (60 mins)

Pre Pointe Assessment - $190 (60mins + report for teacher + certificate)

Follow up-

45 mins: $150

30 mins: $115

6 week check ($100 – you can also use your private health for this)

When should I come in when pregnant?

We recommend your first consult at approximately 20 weeks (after your morphology scan) if you are wanting to have your pelvic floor assessed. Otherwise anytime is fine if you’re experiencing any pain or discomfort.

What does a consult involve?

The girls spend approx 30 - 40 mins discussing your history and symptoms and then perform an assessment based on this. This may include a vaginal exam if necessary and if you are comfortable with it, otherwise they will do a full body external assessment and use the ultrasound to assess your tummy and pelvic floor muscles
